The Moorestown Rotary Travel Adventure Series began in 1973 with the purpose of providing quality travel and entertainment to our audiences at a reasonable cost while also raising funds for our Moorestown Rotary Charities. The presentations are approximately one and one half hours in length with a ten-minute intermission. Professionally produced programs are introduced and narrated by the producer from the stage adding a personal dimension to the program. Since its beginnings we have brought travel experience to over 60 countries and numerous locations in our own country. Originally presented in 16-millimeter film format most presentations are now enhanced digital projection providing more vivid pictures.
Come join our many loyal attendees to visit places you might add to your own travel plans. Or, perhaps revisit places you have traveled in the past and recall memories as well as see what you missed. At any rate, you will be in for an enjoyable series of programs.
The net proceeds derived from our ticket sales are used to fund our Moorestown Rotary Charities projects. Some examples of the use of our funds have been the awarding of thousands of dollars of scholarship support for deserving high school graduates. Other projects, both local and international, have included the Literacy Volunteers of Burlington County, the Gift of Life program, a children's hospital in Mukatchevo, Ukraine, an orphanage and school in the Dominican Republic, Rotary Youth Leadership Academy for high school students and many others.
Come join your friends and experience an inexpensive travel adventure at the William Allen Middle School. For more information call Steve Smith at (856) 235-2889.
